Who knew that you could get up close and personal to a bunch of hand-reared cattle. They’re all Heifers and Steers here, so no bull, you don’t have to worry. That being said, they are big animals, so it always pays to keep a good watch out.
Meet Red
This particular happy steer is named Red. In case you hadn’t guessed it, this is mainly due to the fact that he is, well, red, and was creatively named thus by a youngster visiting the motu. He’s happy to hang out, and enjoys a good chin scratch.
